The Born Loser began in 1965 as a strip with no central characters that revolved around the loser theme. Gradually, it developed into the comic we see today, starring lovable loser Brutus Thornapple, his wife Gladys, mother-in-law Ramona Gargle, boss Rancid Veeblefester, dim-witted son Wilberforce and the mischievous neighbor Hurricane Hattie O'Hara.
Artist Chip Sansom began apprenticing for his father, Born Loser creator Art Sansom, in 1977. He became a full-time assistant, and gradually took on an ever-increasing role in the drawing and gag-writing duties until his father passed away in 1991.

Many years ago my father had me and my mother looking for his glasses for nearly two hours. Until Mom happened to take a good look at his forehead. :-(

Maybe it took two hours to find hers, so that she could take a good look at his forehead?

@Donald Williams
Then why would she be looking for his while she’s looking for hers?

-——————————————-I guess you’re too young to know.
My wife & I are both retired.
Sometimes, I say: “Help me find my glasses – I don’t know where I left them.”
Before she can help me find mine, she has to locate hers!
You should just hope you live so long – or not?

I’ve done this, and had them in my hand and asked where they were. Car keys too.

I had cataract surgery last year, and it was great! I went from intensely nearsighted to slightly farsighted, and no more astigmatism. All I need now are reading glasses that I get from the 99-Cent store.

I wear Script Bifocals, and from time to time, I will check my face to ensure they’re there

About a year-and-a-half ago, my eye-doctor told me that I had a slight cataract in my left eye, but nothing to worry about. He suggested I might try “Can-C” (eyedrops). [Am I allowed to say this?] I am currently using these (for about four weeks) and I think already there is a difference in my vision. That is, as far as cataracts are involved – I’m still extremely near-sighted.
