Ten abandoned cats live in an old warehouse where they are looked after by a young girl named Annie. They include Chesney, the ringleader, Jack, his sidekick, and Oliver - a wide-eyed kitten. The warehouse contains a boardroom on the very top floor, where, unbeknownst to Annie the moggies conduct the world's business through the eyes of a cat.

I’ve got to tell you cat lovers a cute story. About 1 1/2 years ago we found 2 little kittens under our Catalpa tree. Their eyes weren’t eve open yet. We bottle fed them and everything. Our Vet said “We done good”. Most kittens don’t make it when found like that. We still have them both, and they are clearly my son’s cats, though they are affectionate with all of us. He was the one, a 19 year old getting up in the middle of the night to feed them for weeks! Good thing it was summer, I never could have done it alone, and hubby wanted nothing to do with it, I think because he figured they wouldn’t make it. Anyway, I have this throw blanket over my sofa back. It is SO SO SOFT, and little Blackie (one of the kittens) just loves it. He will knead it, and then put it in his mouth and pull it up over himself. This morning I got up and looked in my son’s room and there on his bed was that throw blanket. Blackie mostly sleeps with my son. Blackie had drug the blanket up the stairs in the middle of the night. Neither of us saw him do it, but I’ll bet that was so cute and comical to see.

I tried posting the above comment 4 times before it actually “took”. I wonder what was up with that?

If Annie could only take 3 kittens with her, why oh why is one of the Chesney?

What a sweet story! Those kittens were so lucky to have found you and your son. Cats somethimes surprise us with the things they can accomplish. Blackie knew what he wanted and just went out and did it. Hurrah for him!

*BlueEyeCatMom, oh there’s more to the story! This past year Mom cat had another litter, only this time she put them UP IN the Catalpa tree. We discovered them when we realized those weren’t birds singing. It was dark. My sons got the step ladder and went and looked. Sure enough. Hubby says leave them be, mom will be back. Well, when all was said and done, 2 of the kittens died in the tree, laying on top of the one remaining live kitten. Oldest son took her and bottle fed her too. She’s living in his house, healthy as can be.
My big fear is, she will have another litter, and we simply can’t take any more cats, and the animal rescue isn’t taking cats because they have too many now. I think I will call the ASPCA (it’s a no kill shelter) about 30 miles from here and see if I can line things up, just in case. If we could catch her, I would pay to have her spade at least, even though I can’t really afford it, but she is very elusive.

Have you tried catching her in one of those Hav-a-hart traps? My neighbor does this with the neighborhood strays. Trap-Neuter-Return

My cousin did trap a litter and momma and took them to a spay clinic. See if your city has one. usually once a month. They (The Cat Coalition of Portland Ore) provided the traps. We got all but one and momma, Took 2 weeks to trap her and Whiskers. Momma still lives outside, but now is sleek and happy (no more babies) and Blackie and Whiskers came in and became house pets. They are shy but are getting used to the situation. My cousin leaves dry food out for momma cat and she comes a couple times a day and eats. She had a previous litter than the trapped one and was pregnant when she was trapped. The vets estimated she was only about 10 months old! SPAY AND NEUTER!!!

We have Hav-a-Hart traps in our storage ramp in my office. I forgot all about them! One of our technicians wanted to do a water quality survey and set out the traps to see what kind of wildlife came around. Then she left and no one else ever followed through, but as far as I know, they are still there gathering dust! I think someone took one of the smaller ones to trap mice, but the trap didn’t work! LOL! But it’s worth a shot because I JUST KNOW she’s going to do this again! :-(

Check with SPCA or Animal Control. Some areas have a free spay/neuter and release program for feral cats.
