Sarah tried to ignore the problem. Finally, she sought out help. (Woman: I thought they'd go away on their own. Now there are even more!) (Man: Ok. Let's take a look. Wow. A very bad case. They're everywhere!) (Woman: It's been years. They're ruining my life!) Sarah suffered from a common problem. U.S. Occupation.) (Man: Hive mind. Virulent. Parasitical. Harder to get rid of than anal warts. Buggers've been infesting Okinawa for nearly 70 years.) (Woman: I hate Americans!!) Fortunately, there is a cure. (Man: Two cures, actually, take 2 grenades and call in the morning, or you can just wait for their home colony to starve.) U.S. occupation: now the facts.
“Do as we tell you or we will bring Democracy to Your Country.”
That reminds me of a quote from Walt Kelly (not as well known as “We have met the enemy, and he is us”, although that too is applicable):
“Making the World safe for Democracy can wait. We gotta make Democracy safe for the World.”
