George W. Bush: Some will tell you that Al Qaeda in Iraq is not really Al Qaeda... Master of Political Oratory. On July 24 George W. Bush delivered a startling rebuke to critics who say Iraqi insurgents don't threaten the U.S.: "... well, that's like watching a man walk into a bank with a mask and a gun, and saying he's probably just there to cash a check." A line like that doesn't write itself. It takes professional political speechwriters. Take a look at these fun reject analogy also-rans. "That's like swimming in the Zambezi and thinking that harmless log isn't a crocodile." "That's like showing up at an S&M club with a red ball in your mouth and being surprised that Alberto Gonzales wants to do dirty things to you." "That's like getting jacked up by a Saudi dude and kicking a random Iraqi down the stairs."
