“Tell you what, why don’t you get that nice Johnny Weismuller fellow to do it? He can actually act.”

Alright, Tarzan is really suspicious now! Whoever heard of a travelogue film being a big hit?

Yes indeed Tarzan, we’ll call it “Tarzan of The Apes” and have Jane do a nude scene swimming in the river then chased by a huge crocodile which you will kill, of course!

Actually, the nude swimming scene is from Tarzan and His Mate.

No he’s actually thinking of the 1934 “Tarzan and His Mate” with Johnny Weismuller and Maureen O’Sullivan. The film included an underwater swimming scene shot three different ways: Jane in her usual jungle loincloth outfit, Jane topless, and Jane nude. O’Sullivan didn’t do the underwater swimming scenes. She was doubled by Weismuller’s 1928 Olympic team mate Josephine McKim. The nude footage was restored in the 1986 video release done by Turner Entertainment.

Since just about November 7, 2012, actually – at least in comic strip time.
