Sports is Tank McNamara’s beat, his livelihood. A former professional football player who’s now a TV sportscaster, Tank McNamara reports on the breaking sports stories of the day: the hot players and angry coaches, the pending lawsuits and drawn-out strikes, the constant roar and ever-increasing hype that make organized sports one of the world’s most lucrative businesses.

“Angela”? Tank has a life?
.
(I miss when half the strips were about Tank’s life, his friends and his brother-in-law…)
Zuhlamon said, 6 months ago
Ach so… Angela’s the cute girl from AR?
.
As Jeff Foxworthy said: “If your girl friend wants some ‘time off’, she’s either out there riding somebody else, or has picked a new pony outta the herd and has taken the saddle outta the barn!”

I heard that. I can almost guarantee that it wasn’t Tank who came up with the “taking time off from each other” line. Women get so PO’d when they say that and the guy takes them up on it by going out with someone else.
BTW, who appointed THIS woman as Tank’s social director? Butt the hell out, lady!

This could result in a loss of a time out and an inability for a future challenge.

Well, there’s the answer to our recent questions about Tank’s Significant Other. Sort of. Now did M & H take their cue from these comments, or did they plan this story arc on their own?

Hey, so far just an escort.

Yup, wimmin choose, and guys preen. And when my long-distance GF “suggested” that in the car while driving her home to L.A., I laughed and quoted Foxworthy. She wasn’t amused (but it was true).
.
Careful for what you ask for.

she has her striped shirt on

Well, (1) it’s not the Zees but the coaches who challenge the call on the field, and (2) they use the red flag for that.

And it’s a flag, not a card. Curious choice. Wish Millar and Hinds would explain this one. If only they were reading… :-)
And exactly what the heck is a “break” anyway? A relationship is like a boat. You are either in or out! No fair saying you want a break, and still want to be somone’s one and only.

Card? What card? The colorist decided to color the towel yellow, but why not? Kate is in her house. She happened to be holding a towel. It could be any color. She’s not a coach or a ref. She doesn’t carry a flag of any color, and has to use her fingers to simulate blowing a whistle. (my wife can whistle with her two fingers as well as anyone). What card? And of course we pay attention to the things you write here.
