This is the same police who strip the people their guns during the Katrina aftermath. I guess their plans are in plain view now; the New Order.

While I think it is reasonable to be concerned about police use of military-grade equipment I am even more concerned about the increasing tendency of regulatory agencies to have aggressive and heavily weaponized enforcement squads. If law enforcement really needs dangerous equipment of this kind it should be limited to the general police forces, whose abuses can be more easily identified and challenged.

Senators & Congressmen: If the Pentagon has so much “surplus” modern hardware to give away, CUT THEIR BUDGET!

In Medford, OR yesterday, a guy fired a shotgun at police and they shot and killed him. They didn’t arrive with armored vehicles, and were somewhat lucky, but also apparently well enough trained in self-preservation, as well as control

Even if it’s suicide by cop, or a deranged individual, they MUST have a right to defend themselves. The problem with these tanks and “overkill” on protective gear is that it puts shooting ahead of thinking in the mindset.

We do need good cops, and get rid of bad ones, but they also need appropriate tools to handle bad citizenry.

There must be balance, and well-trained cops is a big part of that.

On the one hand, you have the recent hostage standoff in Valparaiso, Indiana. I would NOT have wanted the police in that situation to have been without military style hardware
    []
At the opposite end of the spectrum, you have, ’America’s Sheriff’ Joe Arpaio sending in a tank equipped SWAT team to break up a cockfight. ( and inviting Stewi…I-I mean Steven Seagal along for a photo-op. )

Fear is a good way to keep people quiet When people are afraid, with. A good reason, and to speak out has shown to lead to retribution, lots of folks don’t stand up for their rights"
The time to speak out May already be too late!
This is a real fear since the “patriot act” gives the those in charge to arrest you, and detain you, and throw away the key.
Does Not make things right— except the" might makes right"!
