By now, it’s just easier to assume all professional athletes are doping. The real shock is to find one who genuinely isn’t.

Here’s why it matters: when all athletes dope, then all athletes will be required to do so to be able to compete. That’s what happened in cycling; that’s why Armstrong did it.

Now consider a sport that many American kids actually care about: football. Soon even gifted college players will start using. Then high school kids, especially the ones not born with amazing talent, will try to get a jump on college ball, and on and on. Sports Illustrated recently ran an article about a national baseball tournament for second-graders. Let that one sink in for a minute.

If it was only professional athletes who would be willing to do this (theoretically mature adults), it would be unfortunate, but that’s it. When high-school or even middle-school kids feel the pressure to do that, imagine what kind of health problems we’ll have to deal with. Not to mention what might happen when a 250-pound tenth-grader succumbs to Roid Rage.

“Exactly! Just like it’s easier to assume that all rethuglicans are gay!”

First off, this was a non partisan, non political cartoon. Your comment reads as an uncalled for cheap shot common to the site’s troll population.

Secondly, limit your assumption to those who are active in anti-gay rhetoric and lawmaking.

Huh? He’s suspended without pay. He will lose more than 1 million of his salary.

What does it matter?!? Well for me as a baseball fan, all of the doping has altered the record books. There will NEVER be any “…getting past the steriod era…” because for me, each time I think of the Roger Maris record I see a fatheaded cheat. Did he get convicted?!?…NO! Does that mean he was innocent?!?…NO! Not getting caught and being innocent are two different things.

Time for smart folk to quit supporting these cheaters by buying tickets at outrageous prices or buying from the corporations that sponsor the individual sports.

If you aren’t willing to do either of those things, then quit complaining about their cheating. After all, it’s the corporate way…free market and all that.
