We need to be contacting our congresscritters and be clear with our thoughts on this. Then be clearer with any political contributions.

The patriot act was to allow for the listening in on conversations between persons in the US and known terrorists living abroad. Phone calls to or from known terrorist to people in the US. It was NOT a license to listen to every phone call and internet message in the US.

The fourth ammendment states, “The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”

I cannot believe that a warrent is issued that was not “issued on probable cause, supported by an oath or affirmation” detailing what crime the person or persons are suspected of committing, and “particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”

This overreach by the Obama administration is unconstitutional and impeachable. I don’t give a rats scrotum if it started under GWB, It is happening NOW under Obama, and it needs to be stopped.

The NSA was been watching the phones for decades.

At the big central offices (equipment buildings) where undersea fiber optic cables terminate, AT&T, MCI, Sprint, and other big global telecom companies installed splitters in the fiber optic cross connect bays where 90% of the incoming infrared laser light goes into the terminal equipment and 10% goes to a floor in the building rented by uncle sam. Same with outgoing infrared light. That is a huge amount of data plus thousands of phone calls. Same applies to underground fiber optic cables to/from Canada and Mexico. Uncle sam paid the companies to install the splitters.

Not all of them are saying that. Like Nancy Pelosi who still defends it for the same reason they all do.

It is illegal for those companies to say they are in any way helping the NSA. So what can we do? Very little unless a wave of Libertarians and Socialist Greens get elected which slim to none.
