I don’t care what kind of esoteric semantics, outright denials of science, or emotional heart rending arguments you Liberals engage in — it’s a baby, pure and simple. It’s not a woman’s body. A woman’s body doesn’t have two heads and two hearts. There are not four legs and four arms as part of a woman’s body. No one has the right to kill another human being, no matter what stage of development it is in.
    <>
Your so called safe abortions result in infertility, death, cancer, and a lifetime of guilt.
    <>
What kind of people are you Liberals that you can tear another human being apart and justify it?

Not a baby pure and simple. Not till it is out of the bag.
    -
I’m not a Liberal but to me our bodies are like our nation. Owned by ourselves not by others or that is slavery. So you are for slavery of women and girls? Of course you are.
    -
Even the Bible doesn’t promote this kind of thinking. In fact it was only recently as in the most part the 20th century that this protect the fetus, forget the women came about into pernicious law.

“An abortion kills the life of the baby after it has begun. It is dangerous to your life and health.”
    <>

Those are not the words of a pro-life activist in 2013—those are the words of Planned Parenthood fifty years ago. So what’s changed since 1963? After all, abortion still kills. What’s changed is the decision of Planned Parenthood to float a fiction: it decided that the nascent feminist movement had to include the right of a woman to kill her unborn child. In doing so it broke ranks with the first feminists.
    <>

When President Obama invoked Seneca Falls yesterday in his Inaugural Address, he sought to call attention to the first women’s rights convention in that upstate New York town in 1848. What he didn’t say is that the organizer, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, saw abortion as another case of treating women like property, “and it was degrading to women that we should treat our children as property to be disposed of as we see fit.” Susan B. Anthony also branded abortion as anti-women.
    <>

Pro-abortion feminists know that abortion kills. Here’s an example. Gloria Allred, the famous feminist lawyer, was once asked on TV whether it would be better if there were no abortions. She refused to budge, saying, “Not necessarily.” Yet three years later when she took the side of a pregnant woman, Laci Peterson, who had been killed by her husband after naming her unborn baby Connor, Allred contended, “The fact that there are two individuals who are dead here, Laci and Connor, that has to be the most important consideration of everything.” She got it exactly right—there were two individuals who were murdered.
    <>
Hillary Clinton upset some feminists in 2005 when she said, “We can all recognize that abortion in many ways represents a sad, even tragic choice to many, many women.” She did not say why abortion is sad, or how it was different from any other surgical procedure, and she didn’t have to: everyone knows abortion kills.

What is it if it is not a baby. You apparently don’t have a clue, do you? Never took biology either, did ya?
    <>
    It’s a baby, not a seal, not a dog or a cat — a baby human being.
    <>
You want to talk about slavery? What have you done to try to stop the slavery of pornography, which enslaves women to the most degrading filthy acts. What have you done to protest human trafficking of young girls as sex slaves? That’s slavery.
    <>
You strike me as a typical Liberal, even though you deny it. You don’t have a clue as to what a woman goes through when she has an abortion. Why don’t you read some of the horrific stories that are on the Internet by women who are being silent no more. Their guilt is overwhelming.
    <>
Nazi? It was Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood, who was an admirere of the Nazis and their eugenics program. Sanger DESPIZED black people. Thought they were unfit as human beings and worked to have them sterilized. This is the woman you admire??? Pretty sick, I’d say.

The people who want to allow women to make the painful decision to end an unwanted/unplanned/unaffordable pregnancy are the same ones who do not want you to be censored simply for speaking your mind. Some of them may find your Orthodox Catholicism offensive and invasive, but do not believe they have the right to persecute you because of your religion. They want you to have the freedom they want, to make decisions for and about yourself. They do not want to see children born into circumstances where it will be unloved, unwanted, abused, uneducated, unhealthy, hungry,…. The monsters you seem to feel liberals have become do not want to see you arrested, fined, incarcerated, or executed because of your beliefs. They also do not want you to do these things to them.
If they are monsters, they are unusually benevolent.
I truly understand your passion, However –
Under our Constitution, all are created equal. Men do not suffer the burden of a pregnancy which makes the woman unequal in her ability to compete for a job, get an education, or find financial security.
I wish we had a world so full of love and respect and the ability to care for each person born. We do not. As long as we let issues like this divide us and keep us from focusing on other things that kill children and adults, we never will.
    Respectfully,
    C.

At a more theoretical level, Dr. Philip G. Ney, head of the Department of Psychiatry at Royal Jubilee Hospital in Canada, has outlined why abortion can lead directly to child abuse.

    1. Abortion decreases an individual’s instinctual restraint against the occasional rage felt toward those dependent on his or her care.

    2. Permissive abortion diminishes the taboo against aggressing [against] the defenseless.

    3. Abortion increases the hostility between the generations.

    4. Abortion has devalued children, thus diminishing the value of caring for children.

    5. Abortion increases guilt and self-hatred, which the parent takes out on the child.

    6. Abortion increases hostile frustration, intensifying the battle of the sexes, for which children are scapegoated.

    7. Abortion cuts the developing mother-infant bond, thereby diminishing her future mothering capability.

A much more accurate ’toon than all the ones illustrating the issue with 3 to 8 year olds instead of more accurately a collection of cells in blastophore state, or an organism with no brain, nervous system or capacity to survive outside the womb. EVen the Old Testament says "kill a slave and her fetus- death penalty, only kill the fetus – pay a small fine, clearly illustrating that the “born” are people, the “unborn” are not.

C.Downs — Your reply is probably one of the most irenic and respectful responses I have received in a long time. Most if not all of the Liberals who have responded to me have done so in a way that indicates they would be perfectly happy to do physical harm to me if they could.
    <>
You are right about the need to care for the woman and child after birth. Our problems come from the elites and banksters who own this world and keep the left and the right at each other’s throats by painting us as enemies to be feared. Meanwhile, they own everything and keep us enslaved. There is more than enough food in the world to feed everyone. There are enough resources. It is the greed of mankind which makes us suffer.
    <>
The Catholic Church has thousands of apostolates all over the world in which the poor, the hungry, the needy, and women in trouble are cared for. I work with one of them as a volunteer. The idea that Catholics and pro-lifers only care for the unborn baby and don’t give a care after birth is a vicious lie. You can look in any phone book in any major city and find hundreds of Catholic charities and churches that will help out with the needs of those who are already here.
    <>
One of the greatest problems we have is the size and scope of the need. It comes from people scamming the system and it comes from a lack of resources because the rich don’t care about the poor. We do as best we can, and get an amazing amount of things done with practically nothing.

Thank you, sir. I greatly appreciate the tone of your reply, I had expected a harsher assessment of my comment. And for the first time, I see we have points of agreement, even if not on this specific topic. I hope we can continue our debates in this tone over the months to come and perhaps dwell more on our points of agreement. Elites and bankers are a target of my frustration as well.
My compliments to your service as a volunteer. It does you honor and provides hope for those you aid.
I am glad for the chance to see you in this new light.
    With much appreciation,
    and respect,
    C.

Yes Sanger did but Planned Parenthood acknowledged it and dumped that. Since one can be for womens rights without being racist.
    -
And it is taking a life but not a citizen. Only upon natural viability is it so. The woman, or girl’s life comes first and for most.
    -
I’m all for making pornography open and legal so that any exploitation can be ended. Also the selling and buying of sex as well. Are you?
    -
Typical Conservative all about freedom as long as it is there way. The women be damned and imprisoned for their biology.
    -
And the Catholic Church had close ties to the original Nazis as it does today to catamites in its own dioceses today.

I would not harm you unless you attacked a pregnant woman or kept her from going to a Planned Parenthood clinic. But other wise if you leave them alone I’d leave you alone. Fair?
