Nothing is so damning today as an unsubstantiated accusation.

Not any better in the past, just more easily spread today.

How convenient that the ‘allegations’, known about since August, only were reported…AFTER the election. Woulda put a different spin on Romney wanting PBS to stand on its own. Guess they’ll be dependent on Gov’t for another 43 years…

You are just a heinous person. Do you think there was a cover up at Penn State because it might effect an election in PA? Do you think the Church covered up all its priests so people wouldn’t run over to the Methodists? This had absolutely nothing to do with the elections.

They do not need Government funding, their own words, they said they do fine with their fund raisers they hold several times per year

Because he’s sick of the allegations? Because when it comes to sex you’re guilty even if you’ve been completely exonerated? Just ask Gerald Amirault who supposedly raped a child with a butcher knife without so much as breaking her hymen or leaving a cut.

If he didn’t quit, the accusations would just keep coming.

Also, did you ever think he may have been pushed to resign? It looks better to PBS if he resigns rather than being fired. The coming forward after twenty years is also suspicious. There’s also a good chance that he’s being let go for his ‘gayness’. Who knows how much hate mail PBS is getting for letting a ‘gay pervert’ twist children’s heads.

Heh. If yiu think he “resigned”, you’re even further out of touch with reality than i thought.

I first heard about this guy on “Fresh Air” and he sounded like a great person. He was on some tv interviews while doing a book tour and I found him genuine and a person I would like to meet. I’m really sad about this story. I don’t remember when I learned there was no such thing as Santa, but it probably feels something like this. Fortunately, he “created” Elmo, but he was not Elmo. Elmo is like Peter Pan and Sesame Street has many talented puppeteers.
But it’s a very sad story.
    Sadly,
    C.
