Shhhh!…Don’t tell ‘em that - they think they’re paying for the other…if they look at the books - we’re sunk!

He talks rather bold for someone who just had the depths of his Grand Canyon plunged by TSA agents with Large wand-like instruments…

Who’s big Idea was it to deregulate banks & industry? I know some of it happened during the Clinton years - but wasn’t it some GOP’ers slogan that got it started during the Reagan Years.

Why don’t we stop blaming the parties and look at the “people” responsible for many of the problems of the country. House and Senate members change regularly (many not enough) and presidents change as well. Presidents are figureheads. Lobbyists/big business own them all to varying degrees. All the petty bickering about which president is to blame does nothing but shift attention away from the real problems.
Politicians get rich and power hungry while party loyalists, talk show hosts, cable channels, and MSM are played like a fiddle to draw cover.

^Yes, when we start seeing some serve time; we may have a reason to go harping one side is better than another…until then…

I agree spicy nacho. Let’s go after the Bush Administration and Clinton. We can’t go after Reagan cause he’s worm food.

Regulated? The financial market isn’t exactly well-regulated - heck, half the people in it don’t know what the rules are. An off-shore platform not even in US waters isn’t exactly regulated either. As for the coal mine - sure, there might have been some regulations around (not that many compated to what they used to be) - they just weren’t kept.
Highly regulated, as if.

Bravo, Mr. Carlson!
I’ve never said it better myself!

The “regulators” even though reduced in number by Reagan/41 and 43 were replaced, thanks to the Civil Service Reform Act of 78 with political hacks- the “de-regulation” mania, and back-turning on problems was VERY noticeable in many agencies with appointees by these three. NOT that there weren’t some Clinton duds as well, but they are VASTLY outnumbered by the purely corrupt bootlickers from, especially, Bush. This is particularly emphasized by the oil spill and the absolute culls at Interior and MMS appointed under Bush such as Norton, Scarlett, Stephen Griles and some others. “Brownie” was actually relatively competent!
The real irritant is that the American people, and “conservatives” in particular- have NO CLUE how the government REALLY works! This is evidenced every election season- when even those campaigning demonstrate they have no clue- especially the House candidates.

^So fix it…You (Libs) got the tri-fecta for at least two -six more years…Oh, that’s right you have to spend all your time repaying political favors and cinching electorate capital. Oh well, so much for the environment, Gay Rights, Legal Marijuana and Jobs for the Peons. Oh I forgot all that improved edjimication the kiddies need… All of it has to wait so Pelosi’s Great great great Grand-children get to go to the best schools… (The Republicans had a similar chance to right all the “woes” they harped on for how many years? They twiddled their thumbs while Rome burned.)

Sooky, I would advise you not to fraternize with zekedog…In fact - he is on a new list that I have started which rates posters below those on the Anthony List for objectionable trollific dialogue. Only real Stinkers will make it to “the Z-dog List”.
Jase99 said, 3 months ago
Pup compiled a list of people who troll? Pup should be towards the top of that list.

Senator Phil Graham (R) Texas did much of the damage while Rep. Newt Gingrich (R) Georgia was House speaker and Dick Army (R) Texas was Majority leader and Oh Yeah this was when the Republics also transformed “K” Street by refusing to do business w/ Lobby Firms that were not Republic dominated. All a matter of record. And for the record one of the Governments Commodities Financial regulators was Graham’s wife. Humor is great and facts are facts. This was Clinton’s moderate ‘3rd Way’ of Politics and it stinks !
