Val: Mom...Phil was in an accident.
Gramma Evie: WHAT? Is he OK?!
Val: Broken leg, fractured pelvis, but he'll recover.
Gramma Evie: And YOU? Will you recover?
Val: ME? There's nothing wrong with ME.
When my husband was in a rollover, head on collision & had his arm partially severed off, his legs were broken, & his kneecaps shattered so badly they had to regrow vs. being put back together, as well as broken ribs, I began waking up with panic attacks & had to force myself to drive. I felt like there were cars targeting me. And, I am a professional courier. That happened 10 years ago, & it took years to get rid of those feelings. It can be extremely devastating, & you use every ounce of will you have to try to keep the visuals from the hospital & accident scene from popping up in your head. Stay strong, Val, & you will make it. Ironically, my husband remembers nothing about the accident to this day. He never saw it coming at him.
