Makes me smile; my granddaughters are 17 and 18 now.
    (4 grandsons 11 to 24).

So true, Holly! My 11, 14, and 16’s don’t admit to things like that, or hug. The seven-year-old one does, though, and probably always will.

Hug your teens anyway. They will probably sigh, roll their eyes and begrudgingly hug you. But on the inside… trust me. I was that way and even all the fuss I’d put up; I truly loved those hugs. (My mom would always say “hug me, I’m your mother and I command it.”)

ALWAYS got (and still get) a kiss AND a hug from my boy (his dad does, too) – he’ll be 43 in February…

Hugging is a good means of communication between humans. Very important. Also I like some Winter and I have it now in S. Texas. You don’t want to be here for Summer.

I was never hugged as a kid, ever, and look how good I turned out.

@comicsssfan- I wasn’t hugged either, but I make sure to hug my kids, even though they are grown.

Always got hugs and even sat on my mother’s lap to tell her about my dates when I came home.
