Joan: Wally, I think you need a vacation. Wally: OK! Joan: Let's all go camping! Wally: Camping? Wally: You mean...sleeping outside? Eating outside? Doing everything...outside? Joan: Campgrounds have bathrooms. Wally: Outside!
Oh wow, that is familiar. I grew up camping, and was excited when I met a guy who was from a small town on the west coast of Vancouver Island (a fairly woolly wild part of western Canada). But alas, I was wrong.
I probably married one of the few from that island who does not camp (and his cousins also think it is weird). So I have spent the last thirty five years “camping” in motels and hotels. Somehow I got used to not sleeping in a tent.
