Joan: Aughhh! Val: What?! What's wrong with your banana?? Joan: There's...there's an ad on it! Joan: Well, sure. The growers lavel. Joan: No, look. This little sticker is an ad. For a movie!! Val: What? Is nothing sacred?! Joan: Billboards on every skyline. Ads on buses and in schools, commercials at the movies, our clothes covered with corporate identities, and now ads in our fruit?! Is there no part of life that is outside the reach of advertising?? I'm moving to New Zealand. Val: And leave me holding the exploited banana? No way!
I miss when ads were only on billboards, on buses, in schools, at movies, on our clothes, and on fruit.
