Val: Hey Wally? How about a walk downtown for coffee? Wally: I'd love to. But I have to clean these gutters. Val: So, in the grand scheme of things, how important is that? Wally: Well... Val: Generally important? Cosmically important? Val: I mean, is it a matter of life or death?! Wally: So, how important is cappuccino and carrot cake? Val: Life depends on it.
I have to say, I like how both Joan and Val spend time with Wally at this point of the strip. It’s not just one woman monopolizing him, they’re both being friends.
