Val: Whenever we come up here, I get a fresh perspective on my life. It's so peaceful. So grand. My problems seem small by comparison. After a few days here, I wonder why I go back to the daily drudgery. This has meaning. What part of today's modern world has meaning up here?? Alix: Mom? The flashlight batteries are dead. And the tent has a hole in it. Did I bring another sweater? This one's too small. Val: Oh yeah. The money part. Joan: Your inflatable boat is sinking.
