Gotta admit the most entertaining stories these days are the Tea Partiers who swear the Republicans lost because they failed to more far enough to the Lunatic Right. And how they’ll be SO MUCH more successful if they step up their feverish attacks on independent women, gays, the youth, and Hispanics.

(Which, apparently, will cause independent women, gays, the youth, and Hispanics to vote for them.)

I’m seeing the best cartoons, post election!

Romney lost because he made far too many missteps. 47%, Binders full of women, interviews with a hostile press, inept handlers. While the Obama machinery was in absolutely perfect sync. Press in full Pro-Obama mode, the non issue of abortion being headlined.

The fact that the vote was so evenly split actually served to show the discontent with the current administration, that a fumbling campaign of 3 stooges caliber can capture nearly half the popular vote.

@echoraven, abortion rights and the broader implications are a very real issue.

“Tonight on Hannity: Karl Rove announces Obama’s secret plans to pass hundreds of regulations that will control all aspects of your lives and steal all your freedoms…..”

You mean there are still people listening to this goof?

No they are not. If Reagan who is probably the most admired and at the time popular Republican President in modern history couldn’t do a damn thing about abortion, Romney would have had a snowball’s chance in hell. It would take a über-super-atomic Reagan to do it and we are not likely to see one in our lifetime and hopefully by the time it comes to pass; gay marriage will be a legal non issue too.

It was a scare tactic and it worked brilliantly.

regan did tremendous damage to abortion rights. and the religious zealots have successfully just kept chipping away at it, sometimes murdering real people and bombing clinics to do so.

romney lost because he did not say anything. He kept saying he has a plan for 12 million jobs. but never said how he was going to do it. He was vague about everything. He did not convince the swing voters.

onguard asks, “So what is your numbers?”

My numbers are (or “is,” if you prefer): Obama, 332; Romney, 206.

What numbers have YOU made up?

We don’t have to worry about Obama being a “flip-flopper”. He is unwilling or unable to change his mind about ANYthing, even when he is wrong. And, boy, is he wrong!
