For more than two decades, political cartoonist Steve Kelley has devoted his attention to public officials the way the radiator grille of a tractor-trailer might devote its attention to June bugs. He has delighted readers by consistently consigning office-holders to the one fate they fear most: that of not being taken seriously.

Depending on who sends me the questionnaire, the questions do sound very much like this, though I’ve received more ‘polls’ from Republican groups than Democrat. Wish they would ask questions to find out how they can help americans instead of how can americans help the parties.

Oh, come ON. This is a Republican myth (this year) because they are losing. (Democrats have said the same thing when THEY were losing.) Nate Silver drove a stake through the heart of this myth:

This article is far from convincing. It mentions that it is harder to get young people on the phone to poll so the polls are weighted to add more youth. That is fine. But it ignores that conservatives are more likely to refuse polling as well, for a variety of reasons. So the statement that they take the republican or democratic identification of the caller as a true representative sampling is faulty. Non-responder bias is always to be considered. Granted it is very difficult to account for because you can never be sure of the reasons for non response. But if in fact republicans are more likely to refuse polling(which exit polling does seem to indicate) then the polls may well be in error.

Don’t forget those of us who outright lie to pollsters because we believe them to be a threat to responsible governance!

Yep! Obama is everything you’d think you might want as a person, but NOT as a president!

Motivemagus,
.
You start with a < and the an ‘a’ a space ’ ’ then HREF=“http://fivethirtyeight.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/09/29/poll-averages-have-no-history-of-consistent-partisan-bias/”
.
then you have a ‘>’ and you type Read all About it < and then you close with a ‘/a>’
.
You get Read All About It!

I got a “survey” call from the Republicans, and had to repeatedly point out that Obama was born in Hawaii, not Kenya. The questions also tried to imply Obama started the war in Afghanistan, velly interesting, as Arte Johnson would say.

After watching tonight’s debate even the lefty media couldnt help O out of his complete failure. I’m sure by tomorrow they will have some story that O was sick or somehow Romney cheated. Ha ha.
