Grossly understated… Where’s the battleship anchor on that line not to mention the zillion other problems with that nightmare of a program?

And where’s the Republican alternative, other than “the poor can go to the ER”?

Solving the problem of health care for the poor with the ACA is akin to taking care of a headache by shooting yourself in the leg.

    Nice red herring argument Wolf.
Wether the Republicans, or anybody else, has an alternative to Obamacare that is irrelevant to a discussion of the problems that Obamacare has.
For example, David suggests that there was no money for a federal exchange and money only provided for state exchanges. I see that as a myopic wish on the part of Democrats who wrote and passed the law.
If they actually expected all 50 states to set up exchanges they were delusional. The other possibility is that the bill was written the way it was hoping all 50 would do this but it couldn’t be put in the bill in such a way as to force them to do it because it would not get the votes to pass in Congress.
That just says the bill was an unworkable law that was passed with all sorts of serious and major problems on the expectation that once passed and in place these massive problems could be “fixed” afterwards.
Instead, the problems are so massive and so bad that public backlash is now being seen and there is no apparent fix that will repair the damage.
This is what happens when incompetents who are totally unequipped to do something are allowed to do it anyway. Obamacare was written by morons, passed by oblivious idiots, and signed into law by an incompetent amateur. It’s like we let a 6th Grade class of kids design our national health care program. Actually, I think 6th graders could have done better.
As for alternatives, that is a seperate subject that can be discussed.
