    What is any other country on Earth planning to do about Syria?

    @ScottPM
    That’s the most sensible posting I’ve read yet on the subject!

    Yesterday, one of the posters was insisting we ought to help “our friend, Assad”. O.K. Is that “help” the same way we “helped our friend, Saddam”, when Iran and Iraq were at war? And then “helped that same ‘friend’, Saddam”, when he invaded Kuwait? And then, “helped that same ‘friend’, Saddam”, when we invaded Iraq, dragged him out of hiding, and saw to hanging him?

    Or, perhaps, how we “helped our friend, Noriega”, when Daddy Bush was CIA Boss; and then, “helped him into a life term in an American prison”, when he wasn’t “our friend” anymore?
    <p<
    Just out of curiosity: With “friends” such as these, do we really need “enemies”? (Or the kind of politicians who make such “friends” one year, and then . . . ?)

    History repeating itself, here.

    One of Israel’s neighbors is going through civil war and Isreal sends in the troops, only to find themselves bogged down in the middle of the conflict when all factions in the civil war then turn their guns on the invading Israelis.

    This didn’t work in Lebanon back in 1982, and it isn’t going to work in Syria in 2013.

    Why on earth would we involve ourselves in this? If Israel wants to get caught up in it, let them. They have been of no help to us, so why should we follow them?

    The one he was shot down in was the 5th plane Crash-and-Burn McCain wrecked, damaged, or otherwise screwed up!
    He himself has said that he wasn’t that good of a pilot…

    You have to remember that a lot of Israelis hold dual citizenship and can vote in our Presidential elections. Remember Romney campaigning there?

    The arrow on the Israeli plane actually says “We bomb anyone we want, because the U.S. will always back us.” They’ve illegally occupied Lebanon for nearly two decades before “leaving”, the Golan Heights (Syria), West Bank (Jordan), Gaza (Egypt), and any other territory they’ve felt like bombing or stealling.

    Odd nobody remembers not long ago when they bombed Syria’s “nuke site”, just like Iraq, or the cyber attack on Iran’s nuclear program, that affected other countries as well.

    It’s time to confess that Netanyahu and friends are the REAL danger and trouble-makers in the region, and react to THEM for a change. Let’s sanction or bomb the right folks for a change!

    Hagel met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Tel Aviv. Hagel green lighted an attack on Iran, dispersing any remaining doubt about his past.
    .
    French newspaper Le Figaro reported that Jordan has decided to allow Israel to use its airspace to stage raids inside Syria.
