Winner of the Pulitzer Prize for editorial cartooning in 1993, Steve Benson has been a lightning rod for more than 20 years as the staff editorial cartoonist for The Arizona Republic. Benson sums up his career best: "I don’t aim to please. I just aim."

I know you’re a liberal media hack for the Obama clan but I thought even a cartoonist can listen and understand English. Sequestration was Obama’s plan and he stated that he would veto ANY attempt to stop it. Now that it has been hyped as the dooms-day package (a load of bilge) he is trying his best (with the total assistance from the MSM) to deflect blame. He has more teflon than old Slick Willie!

@Zipi
Do not bother trying to convince a liberal of facts, truth, and reality. They consider those things to be racist and elitist when they do not agree with their views.

That should be Obama holding the saw or a bloody axe. The Sequester was his idea. But why should Benson stop lying?

Benson must have spent all his time in school doodling instead of learning. He cannot tell an elephant from an _$$.

Why does the far right insist that sequestration was President Obama’s idea, when Boehner is on record as stating that in the sequester that Republicans “got 98 percent of what they wanted”?

As always the republicans create problems, then try to blame them on President Obama and the Democrats. It’s the radical tea baggers who embrace this kind of nonsensical spending cuts without realizing that massive spending cuts will lead to another recession.

@Zipi
If it isn’t Zipi the Pinhead whining his pitiful Great Right Lies. Sorry but it was you tea baggers who wanted all these massive spending cuts and who are now blocking any attempt by Obama and the Dems to do them smarter.

@zoidknight
It’s our little ’roidknight whining as always his little racist, elitist lies as he tries to protect the rich and greedy from paying their fair share of taxes. What a tool and fool.

I read the transcript. I don’t see what that has to do with the Budget Control Act of 2011. Further, you really should research the sequester thing. It was instituted by 2 of Obama’s staff, approved by Obama, given to Harry Reid then approved by the Senate and House and signed by the President.
Ziveron said, 3 months ago
If the Sequester was approved by all parties, then it stands to reason that it is not “Obama’s” Sequester. It is collectively the government’s Sequester. It was a bad decision by all involved.

I love how when facts come out, liberals resort to lies, name calling, and pseudo-facts made out of their grand delusion brought on by drinking the kool-aid

Zipi said, “Sequestration was Obama’s plan and he stated that he would veto ANY attempt to stop it.”
What a lie.
He offered it as a solution but BOTH sides in Congress agreed with it and voted it in.
And Obama was VERY CLEAR that it could be avoided if Congress works together on a solution. He stated he would veto any attempt to DELAY the decisions by ignoring the sequestration.
