Do not bother trying to convince a liberal of facts, truth, and reality. They consider those things to be racist and elitist when they do not agree with their views.

Benson must have spent all his time in school doodling instead of learning. He cannot tell an elephant from an _$$.

Why does the far right insist that sequestration was President Obama’s idea, when Boehner is on record as stating that in the sequester that Republicans “got 98 percent of what they wanted”?

I read the transcript. I don’t see what that has to do with the Budget Control Act of 2011. Further, you really should research the sequester thing. It was instituted by 2 of Obama’s staff, approved by Obama, given to Harry Reid then approved by the Senate and House and signed by the President.

If the Sequester was approved by all parties, then it stands to reason that it is not “Obama’s” Sequester. It is collectively the government’s Sequester. It was a bad decision by all involved.

I love how when facts come out, liberals resort to lies, name calling, and pseudo-facts made out of their grand delusion brought on by drinking the kool-aid

Yes, and so your comment really shows that you are living in a place where information is hard to come by. While it is up for debate – since Obama denies the testimony of people in the room at the time it was decided to suggest a sequester option after digging up the old law – whose “idea” it was, it is a matter of RECORD that Obama was adamant on the implementation of the law should an agreement not be reached.

In order to balance the budget we must cut out all spending and taxes.

If you had looked at it without bias, you might have noticed that the statement was made in 2011 right after the act was passed. President Obama agreed to it because most felt it would be so painful that not even conservative Republicans would agree to it. It was intended as an incentive to compromise on a Federal budget, not as a compromise in itself.
    .
Also, some Republicans are claiming that the budget cuts are minimal and needed, while other Republicans are trying to “blame” President Obama for it, as if the cuts are draconian. Which is it?

“If you had looked at it without bias,…”

Maybe you should reread my post. It is only a statement of a sequence of events. If you can find bias in it I have no idea how. As for “….it would be so painful that not even conservative Republicans would agree to it. ..” , 45 of 51 Democratic Senators voted for it as well as 28 of 47 Republicans. There were 19 Republican Senators voting against it along with 6 Democrats. In the House, Democrats were split 95/95 Yea/Nay while Republicans were 174/66 Yea/Nay.

Speculation: The Administration and Congress kicked the can of budget cuts down the road stupidly hoping that the other side would blink sooner rather than later. Problem-nobody blinked. Now that time has run out, the President and the Democrats and Republicans in Congress are trying to spin their brainless game of political chicken and trying to deny responsibility for their imprudence. They are depending on the short American memory, internet talking point sites. and the media to continue committing their perfidy on the American public. They know that few will bother to check their spin against reality.
