If you talk long enough his fellow countrymen will snuff his fuse.

Marktrail-How many wars do you want, soldiers to be killed and how much cash will spent until your satisfied?

Nipponkid, if you recall it was we who were attacked.

Millions for defense, not a penny for tribute!

I’m sure Mark Trail doesn’t like war anymore than the rest of us. None of us relish war, but so long as there are threats, there needs to be a military. As long as we’re threatened we must be ready to answer that threat so that the rest of America can sit around and whine about it.

He will threaten to hold his breath until he turns blue. That will get them to stand down……

Allen, we were attacked by Saudi Arabian terrorists, not by Iraq, certainly not by Iran. Next you’ll be telling us that Iran was trying to buy yellowcake from Niger.

Also, this perpetuates the myth that Ahmadinejad is in charge in Iran - he’s not. Khamenei is the Supreme Leader, in office for life, Ahmadinejad is the President, an elected official who answers to the Supreme Leader and the Iranian National Security Council. Ahmadinejad may advocate for nukes, but he’s not the decision maker on that front. You and Moore could look it up, but if you were prone to do that, you wouldn’t have the political viewpoint you now hold.

The world is more complex than talk vs don’t talk. We need more emphasis on diplomacy (talking) and stay alert (militarily) at the same time.

Ian I assume that you are referring to Iraq’s attempts to buy more yellowcake. The following is from an AP newswire story:
    updated 4:57 p.m. MT, Sat., July. 5, 2008
The last major remnant of Saddam Hussein’s nuclear program — a huge stockpile of concentrated natural uranium — reached a Canadian port Saturday to complete a secret U.S. operation that included a two-week airlift from Baghdad and a ship voyage crossing two oceans.

The removal of 550 metric tons of “yellowcake” — the seed material for higher-grade nuclear enrichment — was a significant step toward closing the books on Saddam’s nuclear legacy. It also brought relief to U.S. and Iraqi authorities who had worried the cache would reach insurgents or smugglers crossing to Iran to aid its nuclear ambitions.
