    This comic is quit lame, and not even in color. I say, pull it!

    “Not even in color”? Did you know Casablaca isn’t in color?

    If color is your standard for what makes a comic worthwhile, you’re either some sort of chimp in a laboratory and you can type (which is amazing- BTW, congrats) or you’re not very smart.

    Answer me this, does a banana sound good right about now?

    Welp, that’s my limit. Dumping this dumb strip.

    You have the right to your opinion. But I remain puzzled as to why you choose to air it in here. You said it was to ‘save people’ from reading starslip, but if they make it to the comments, likely, they have already read it, so you’re kind of just shutting the barn door after the horse escapes.
    In point of fact, I’m even more confused as to why you’re STILL here. You mentioned three days ago that you dislike the strip-and yet you continue to follow it enough to play cheerleader for OTHER people who don’t like it. Why not just…not read it?
    Also, I have a further confusion-If you’re exercising your rights to free speech by returning to comment on something you seem to hate…am I not well within my rights to exercise my rights to free speech to tell you I don’t like your opinions? Being free to cut things down works both ways.

    Regardless. I’ve gotten that off my chest-I’ll try and leave you alone now…I like starslip a lot, and I’d like newcomers to come and find a comment thread that isn’t clogged with invective.

    Something I’ve been wondering… is Vanderbeam wearing a closed-up shirt and a necktie, or is it a slightly open jacket? The artwork looks like it could be either.

    If you don’t like the strip, shut up or GTFO. Those of us who enjoy it want to have a decent conversation that isn’t filled with tools.

    It looks like Vanderbeam is wearing a Star Trek style one-piece with a tie over it.

    For those of you who didn’t know, Starslip was a webcomic that started in 2005 and recently finished its story. You can read the whole thing at starslip.com if you don’t want to wait for a new strip to come out every day. It’s really got one of the best long-form stories I’ve ever read in a comic strip, and Kris Straub has a gift for creating characters and letting them bounce off each other.

    Also, the art was designed with a black-and-white aesthetic in mind. As the strip develops, you’ll see a lot of art that depends on the high contrast of b&w for its effect. Anyone who complains about it is likely the type of person who prefers the colorized versions of old films to the original black-and-white, and their opinions can be safely ignored.

    @Himari Noihara

    Where else BUT here would I air it? Shall I go to McDonalds.com and vent it there? And when did I say you weren’t within your rights of free speech? It’s called “communication”….it’s the process of back and forth discussion. Although, you guys that are “confused” by such things were the first to hurl insults. So, why am I back? Because, frankly, it’s hilarious watching how uptight you get over someone saying they don’t like a strip. This is more amusing. (I thought I explaned that in the last strips’ comment section). I don’t even need TV right now. You guys are doing a great job of entertaining me.

    I come from the future. In the future we laugh at those who could not understand this delightful comic in the early days of Earth’s 4 billionth year. Take heart, lovers of Starslip you will be proven to have been genius and will be welcomed into our world.
