    I told you guys about my aunt from Vancouver who sent me a stuffed rottweiler a few months ago and Sooky was created. I’m not even sure she ever knew I made a cartoon based on that dog…

    I saw that aunt in person like three times in my life but at age eight, my older brother told me something that, at the time, I didn’t even know was possible;

    My aunt Linda left New-Brunswick at age sixteen, way before I was born, as uncle Guy.

    I was surprised and to this day, I don’t pretend to know exactly what goes in the mind of someone who is born of a gender and wants to be of the other, but nobody should need to fully understand to respect. Those people are not just drag queens and show people, they have jobs, they have families, they have lives and are as valuable to mankind as anyone else. I did this cartoon in her memory because aunt Linda encoutered many pricks who don’t quite understand that in her life and that’s just unfair, and mean.

    The janitor, the social worker and the web designer from frame four are Kathy, Dominic and Alain, more homosexual people who added some rainbow in my life.

    There are still many prejudices out there it’s time to get rid of; gay men are not those promiscuous, dangerous beasts who will rape every man in sight. Lesbians are not those bitter, angry creatures who refuse men just to piss them off or by political choice (not all lesbians are feminists and not all feminists are lesbians). They were born the way they are and, as far as the ones I know are concerned, I wouldn’t have them any other way.

    To each his own with one caveat. Do it with class.
