I figured out why I love this strip. The very first thing I ever saw on TV was the Our Gang comedies along with some Mack Sennet films that were being run as a local kids’ show. I was ENTHRALLED. I had never seen anything like it; it opened up the world of the past to me and was absolute magic. This strip reminds me of that.
