    In that last panel, the kid is dressed like kids today might dress. The bill of his cap to the side, oversized clothing, etc. Considering that this was drawn in 1927 ??? pretty amazing.

    …difference is, nowadays they buy their clothes to specifically look like that – back then, moms bought (or made) the clothes to last through a couple of growth spurts (and with extra material in the hems so they could be let out some more…)
