It’s true about mexico. Not long before the cartels take over entirely. Canada, California, Washington, and Colorado multiplied the immense quantities of money flowing to the cartels when each legalized. Deaths at cartel hands went from over 100,000 a year to God only knows how many now. First Canada, then California, then the other two, started heaping money on Mexican cartels..The stuff used to be mostly grown in Oregon illegally for western Canada (they multiplied addicts by about 10X when they legalized, with similar increases in crime and other hard drugs along with increases in price from the explosion in demand), but then Washington became a drug state and the cartels had a bonanza. Had our first two billion dollar busts in Oregon in the last 3 years. Both cartel-owned and each with more than a million plants. .Figure that one cartel, instead of just “owning” the local government in Mexico, will at some point figure they will become the government. They will take over their state, other cartels will do the same to “compete”, and pretty quick Mexico will be five or six warring states, all paid for by drug money.
