Yep, but since the late 1990s, it seems like half the “science” out there is “activism” and “this is the way it must be.” It’s not new— the London white/grey moth they taught us in college biology as “proof” for evolution turned out to be a complete hoax when the “scientists” admitted a couple years ago that they pinned the grey months to the oak trunks so they’d be eaten rather than the white moths and had other “irregularities” worthy of Piltdown man— but we’ve been absolutely inundated with garbage that is easily disproven. The two East Anglia scandals are just two example of how corrupt some of it is— “science” to the highest bidder. Give grants and we’ll give you the results you want… ARG!
I was trained that you never, ever alter the data. You find out the reason a test ended up as it is. The stuff that goes on regularly now, would have gotten most scientists fired a decade ago.
