She’ll vote – for ANYONE but you!
“One Term Tom,” also known as “Tom Corrupt,” “Tom Corporate” and “Tom Corbett Space Cadet” is the worst governor in the 1/3-millennium history of Pennsylvania (founded 333 years ago in 1681).
Pennsylvania has had this tradition for as long as I’ve been alive (I turned 50 in January) where the GOP would hold the governor’s mansion for 8 years, then the Democrats would hold it for 8 years, then the GOP for another 8 and so on. That tradition may easily be broken in 2014. Mickey Mouse could beat Corbett this year. I now live in blood-red Lebanon County, and I have lost count of all the people who have told me that they can’t stand Corbett, and regret voting for him.
I was worried that a GOP candidate would emerge for the primary and beat Corbett, but the only one who did emerge is even further to the right than “Tea Party Tom” himself!

This is a man who cut a billion dollars from the state’s education budget, too.
Let’s also not forget that he tried to slaughter every one of Pennsylvania’s cash cows to feed prime steak to his rich buddies as well.
He tried to sell the lucrative Pennsylvania Lottery to a foreign company without a bid process or legislative approval.
He tried to sell off our state-run liquor store system to his rich buddies, too, which would put thousands of Pennsylvanians out of work, raise booze prices (would the independent stores have the same purchasing power as the 2nd-largest purchaser of alcoholic beverages on earth?) and, thanks to the disappearance of over a half-billion dollars a year in revenue, would also require raising taxes.
He also wanted to sell the Pennsylvania Turnpike, as well. He also has made it so every toll collector would be thrown out of work by 2018.
Not one of these cash cows costs a single tax dollar to operate.
Our highway system was being repaired under Rendell. Car registration fees hadn’t increased in 20 years, and fuel taxes weren’t sent sky-high. Corbett just signed a 28¢/gallon gas tax hike over 3 years, and he also just raised our car registration rates from $36 to $51.
If you have a PA registration that expires anywhere from March 31, 2014 to August 31, 2014, you had better renew now before the increase takes effect on April 1, 2014.

Corbett is also under a cloud because it has become apparent that he refused to prosecute Jerry Sandusky when Corbett was the state attorney general because Sandusky’s charity, The Second Mile, was funneling six-figure campaign contributions to Corbett.

Vote. Democracy won’t work unless we evaluate what the candidates have DONE, and are DOING, and vote accordingly. What candidates SAY, or what the Fox Rush Murdoch Noise SAYS, isn’t enough. In the good old US of A, people, we get the governance we vote for.

When you have nothing constructive or real to say you go with the lowest common denominator in your fantasies.

Don’t be fooled by those signs. That doesn’t mean they are hiring. Just want to collect resumes. even so for every job offered a room full of people want it. Not a question of attitude unless you mean the business who will make it hard to apply.

Somebody PLEASE explain why the discussion goes on and on about HUNGRY children.
    .
The schools give them breakfast and lunch. SNAP (food stamps) give their parents money for dinner and enough to cover the weekend meals.
    .
If the parents use the money for anything other than feeding their kids…Why is it the taxpayers’ fault. The govt needs to crack down on this “misappropriation of funds”. We pay for the kids’ food ALREADY .
