Which is worse, a 24 billion dollar shutdown that did not work or a 70 million dollar website that doesn’t work?

Actually, neither! Always giving out governmental contracts to the lowest bidder is not always the best policy. As the old saying sometimes goes with a vengeance “You only get what you pay for!” Hopefully, the people responsible have learned a valuable lesson, and we can now move forwards. Hopefully….

The problem is that government contracts are often decided based on politics rather than the based on the better product or value. We don’t get what we pay for.

Ultra panicsville for the 30 million who don’t have health insurance. Only 39 days to sign up, unless you don’t care then you have 5 months.

Which is worse? It is the law itself that won’t work that is worse. The website is symptomatic of the problems coming with this monstrosity.

Can you come up with a better idea for those one out of every six Americans (myself included) who have no health care insurance?

I can. It’s called single-payer, universal health care insurance, which is considered a basic human right in every other industrialized nation on the planet.
Only in America do we oppose such a thing, preferring to side with insanely-rich private insurance companies who further pad their immensely-fat wallets by trying to deny coverage whenever possible.

You must be talking about how Michelle’s college buddy “won” the no bid contract for hundreds of millions of dollars, right?

The Republicans have nothing since Pres. Obama took their idea. And when you criticize but have nothing to counter it you lose the argument.

No the web site is symptomatic of under planning. Doesn’t mean the system itself is bad. Remember it was Capitalism that messed it up since they were govt people setting up the system.

My usual joke about websites is that my site was built by a critter with 8 legs, and to clear that website, all you needed was a broom . What we need for obummercare is NOT a broom; but total repeal and total refund of any and all monies so collected under this travesty.

A billion is a thousand million so 24,000 million is worse than 70 million and the first was a deliberate choice the 2nd is improving a week by week.

The first was anarchy the second was the opposite. Some hate healthcare until they need it. Perhaps the messenger is the problem not the message. Please link the Republican healthcare plan for comparison. None is not an option. I have VA. It has been excellent and saved my life. All my meds and appointments are handled by me on line. In tens the online service keeps getting better. I suspect ACA will do the same with complaints nipping at it all the way. Telling people not to apply for ACA is recommending “delayed” suicide. You become your own “death panel”, LOL
