Hey libs, read article V, and if you feel that strongly, initiate the 28th amendment. Til then, live with the 2nd amendment as is.

    No heart and soul either.
We should love people and use things instead of loving things and using people.

The t-shirt is apropos. It says “Newtown, etc”. Is that his comment on our propensity for violence? If so he should have put “Newtown, etal.” Vote them all out next time and try to find congressional representatives that have a functional brain and aren’t indentured to special interests.

Second amendment has the phrase “well regulated” in it, that’s all that the vote was about, some regulation.

Read up on what laws prohibit certain aspects of the First Amendment (that I bet you agree with at least some of), then come back to me.

The votes were pre-determined. When it was “agreed” that it would require 60 Senate votes to pass anything gun-related, it was all over but the shouting. Fortunately, we have plenty of shouters on this site.

I have accepted the fact that, in the minds of those who are in charge, we will just have to accept the fact that innocents will continue to be victims of mass killings. This is the price we will have to pay for a broad interpretation of the second amendment.

Next time—and there will most certainly be a next time—don’t feel bad for the victims. Just be happy you can have all the weapons you want, and be assured that the dead and injured and their families understand that this is just the way it has to be.

You are aware that that statement makes any argument of yours totally invalid.

It has nothing to do with the 2nd Amendment. Every right has limits. So you want to overturn the 1934 law concerning ownership of automatic weapons? Get to it then.

Neither a pressure cookers nor butter knife are designed as specifically weapons. Try another argument and see if it also flies like a lead balloon.
