    How does he know she’s gay?
    Since when do the Boy Scouts talk about how people like their sex? And why should they?

    Since gays are not allowed in the boy scouts he is merely trying to clarify whether or not he should check for gayness before helping.
    .
    Not being allowed must mean they are not deserving, should they receive courtesy?

    Trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, reverent and homophobic! I wonder if they will take away my brother’s merit badges now that he’s come out?

    What could be gayer than dressing up in a colorful costume with lots of ribbons and badges and heading out into the woods with a bunch of boys?

    What could be more ignorant than forcing a private company to do something against their charter? There are too many examples of government interference to list.

    People don’t know they are gay until they hit puberty and begin becoming sexually attracted to others. Boy scouts begin as cub scouts around age 6. That means they can be a part of that organization – sometimes making it a major part of their lives – for 6-10 years before realizing they are gay and possibly being booted out for being who they are. Somewhat harsh and hypocritical, I say, but perhaps preparing them forr the intolerance they will face the rest of their lives is the idea behind it.

    Should the private company have tax exemption on sales and donations?

    @Mr. King

    “Fair” hiring laws and laws “outlawing” bigotry are worthless. I would much rather companies be outright racists or homophobic if they so chose. That way, I can decide whether or not to work for them or spend my money buying their products or services. When a bigot cannot hire good people or lose business because of their views, they will either change their views or go out of business.

    Ever hear of a “circle jerk”? old BSA custom.

    Your comment is way more ignorant than anything the government does. Why don’t you do us all a favor and just self deport to Somalia, it’s your kind of utopia.

    So sad that the Boy Scouts are run by a bunch of racist hateful evangelical christian lunatic fringers.

    The BSA are embarrassing themselves more every day. You think that SOMEONE would bring them to their senses.

    How can anyone trust a company that has a secret list of child molesters they have protected all these years. Why is it that the Girl Scouts have had no such problems and Gays are welcome?

    - Yet another reason to favor the Girl Scouts.

    - Oh, and those delicious cookies! (Trefoils all the way!)
