Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery. —Winston Churchill

How could you possibly interpret this cartoon with socialism?

Thank god Obama is not a socialist.

I guess the early Christians were Socialist:
“And all that believed were together, and had all things common; and sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.” Acts of the Apostles 2:44-45 (KJV)

Christianity IS highly based on “socialism”, and Israel, ever heard of kibbutz, is not only highly socialist, but Communist, as in just recently turning state owned companies, as the arms industry, over to “private”.

The difference is religious-based giving isn’t prompted by IRS Man holding a gun to your head, while State socialism/communism is.
Obama is a communist, limited only by his lack of imagination. Do you think the cowards in Congress would oppose an executive order from His Highness seizing all guns?

One of your most bizarre posts, yet. So Obama is what, now? Right wing media have called him a communist, a socialist, a racist, a fascist, a marxist, the destroyer, gay, an angry black man, uppity, and a Nazi, with all sorts of expletive-laced variations in between.
.
And people buy into it. Sad.

@Zuhlamon
Were you “sad” by the list of names the left called Bush? Thought not.
But since it may seem unclear even after 4 years of failure, let’s review what King Obama ISN’T:
Humble
Wary of power
An obeyer of the Constitution
A uniter
An American Exceptionalist
A patriot
A valuer of merit over diversity
Raised with American values
Raised in America
Transparent – grades and education hidden
A respecter of a free and balanced press
Yeah, he takes campaign money from Wall Street, that no more makes him a conservative than stripes make a zebra a tiger.

Wow. You really do believe everything Fox news (et al) tells you. I don’t know what “the left” said about Bush during his administration, but he pretty well messed things up – and even the most loyal Bushie (their expression) are quiet about it.

One other comment. I used to be a conservative Republican, until I discovered first hand their entrenched lies, deceit, paranoia and misplaced policies. There are some basic policies of merit, but the party has evolved into a predatory clique of oligarchs, stopping at nothing to enforce their way. Voter suppression, lies, deceit, long-term goals of educational group-think, their own media system. Members of the Republican party are literally not allowed to express their opinion – they do what they are told. I used to be a volunteer in their machinery. Never again.

How interesting. That’s how I feel about both parties. They have failed America repeatedly and are both stooges for K Street lobbyists. That’s the primary reason I became a Libertarian.
