Oh, it’s WAY beyond bad taste. I think Beck thinks he’s the Messiah… http://www.colbertnation.com/the-colbert-report-videos/351602/august-26-2010/glenn-livid

Glenn Beck did not serve in the military and openly despises it.

Glenn Beck has a 1st Ammendment right to build a mosque. I think the anti-military angle from him is a Mormon thing. Has anyone cornered Mitt Romney on that one? They’re less forgiving than Confederates.

I’d laugh if Abe Lincoln got up from his chair and walked away during that.

Won’t happen, but one can still dream.

^ Right-wingnuttery is like the change of seasons; you just know it can’t be any other way.

Do you not see how prejudiced your comments are? Do you always judge others this way?

That was the real Beck Charlie. If you watched the rally, did you see how racial prejudice was there? No? Go figure.

^How about in Conservativeland, where Beck said he thought Obama was a bigot and a racist?

Glenn Beck and all pundits are pundits. They are TV personnalities before they are citizens. Their purpose is not militantism, it is to get ratings. The more they get ratings, the more they get ratings, the more money they make, the more power they get. And truth doesn’t always sell.

What sells is what people want to hear. And now, people are mad. They are afraid, they can’t get over 9/11, that’s dug up again and again in more gripping ways by other media people who want to get an easy tear (even liberal Oliver Stone himself) and conspiracy theorists who want to get a best seller.

Any now, the revenge in Afghanistan is not working. Few people now believe we’ll ever catch Bin Laden. But people need someone to pay for it (i.e., they simply want justice) but if they can’t get Bin Laden, they’ll turn to whatever they can get, and that gets dangerous…for you guys.

The guys directly responsible for 9/11, the kamikaze, died while commiting their crime. It is impossible to punish them. Justice is not always possible. I heard many cases of child abuse where justice was never made; the culprit had good connections, the victim was not believed, or the culprit died before being brought to justice. And what do those people do? Agress everyone so they will never be agressed again? Stay frightened in a corner? Drink and do drugs and mess up so bad, people will see how messed up you became and finally understand something bad happened to you? Pick someone (usually too small to defend itself) to pay at the agressor’s place?Pray for a divine justice that never comes soon enough? A divine justice that is never enough? In all cases, it makes everyone suffer BUT the one who diserves it. At that point, you have to choose between justice and sanity.

It seems to be what is happening on a larger scale.

Some say we should invade all muslim territories and convert all muslims to christianity. Invade an occupy more than a billion people, from Morocco to Indonesia and from Bosnia to Tanzania. Virtually every american citizen, man, woman, child and elderly person should be in military service thre to keep the peace. Others say no muslim should ever be allowed to travel by plane. One sixth of the world’s population banned from airline traffic for years. Remember those few planes that were grounded last spring and the airline industry freaked out? It won’t happen.

But some make good ratings and good money making people believe these things should happen. And your collective sanity pays the price.
