@leerab/fennec Of course personal sexuality is private and irrelevant unless the person has a job which has the power to change the entire basic nature of marriage in this country.
Lets be optimistic and say 50% of the population favors gay marriage. (Though to the best of my knowledge in 100% of the cases where the public can vote in a democratic fashion they have voted down gay marriage.) If the judiciary says despite democracy we will impose gay marriage upon you, (as done in several states) are you saying if the Justice is gay and couldn’t get married before but after their own ruling they can, is of no import?
In the last 10 minutes I saw 3 examples of mandatory good journalism full disclosure.
3 judge panel rules on prisoners in Guantanoma. NYT lists the judges by name and which President actually appointed them. Full disclosure
Slate has an article why the Democrats can win in November. Author? Eliot Spitzer, ex-governor and a Democrat himself. Full disclosure,
Book review of a new release on Murdock taking over the WSJ. Murdock has said he would like to purchase the NYT and close it down the next day as a public service. If I told you the reviewer liked the negative descriptions of Murdock himself would you be interested that the review was in the NYT? Full disclosure.
