   I think they are dried fruit, soaked in a sugary mixture, then formed into a ball.

   I like fruitcake. Why do people always pick on fruitcake? Collins St. Bakery in Texas makes the best fruitcake on earth. (Not spam – the truth. No spam in fruitcake).

   I gave a relative a fruitcake for Christmas one year, and the guy just stood there looking like “Hey, did I piss you off somehow?”

   I’m glad you like the Collins Street Bakery fruitcake, I do not but I like a recipe that I make that has no citron in it. Just pecans, Candied pineapple and cherries, dates and just enough flour, sugar and eggs to hold it together.
