    Why is it OK for Rose to splash in a puddle but not Pasquale? That isn’t fair. Pasquale is being a kid and Rose is acting like a kid. Both of these are OK.

    Rose didn’t tell him not to splash in a puddle. She told him to ‘do his best to avoid them’. Not the same thing.

    Of course she knew that those dangerous puddle suck a kid in, so it’s best just to avoid associating with them. ;)

    If, by “piddle” you mean “splash”, then yes. She didn’t “piddle in the puddle” in the traditional sense.
