   Actually the “star” fish and the "fire’ fly are both have two misleading names.

   
   When I read this I laughed so hard, I fell off of my “occasional” furniture.

   Every time I see something about a fire fly it makes me think of summer- so thanks! (and also the awesome T.V. show that ended too soon)

   Excellent! And I sometimes get my knickers in a twist trying to solve those misleading names in the insect world, i.e. those winged ones that were called flutter-bys because they do, and now everyone calls them a butterfly. How did an animal by-product get into the name? Misleading.
