   Ironically I have the exact same powerbook, and I can’t believe it’s still chugging along. I use it only to send and receive email though. If I unplug it, it holds a charge for about 10 seconds.

   Bummer, if the tech is certain its the inverter board, and not when using the battery when on battery only, then it is simple to replace on your Albook. You can do it!
