    Totally unfair!
The N.R.A. does not bag their congressmen, they just BUY them!

The NRA just rents out their gonads.

Thanks for pointing out the obvious. Gun zealots are shivering cowards who only feel safe when they have ample bullets and a fast gun.

Nope. The U.S. Congress is composed of the best politicians money can buy!
On BOTH sides of the aisle.

Rifles are used in about 3.5% of the 9,000 firearms homicides. “Assault rifles” are a sub group of rifles. This has NOTHING to do with public safety and everything to do about control. Hitler did the same thing. How many will Obama murder over "control’?

If speech were more restricted and controlled, one life may be saved because people couldn’t lead others astray.
If searches and seizures didn’t need warrants, we would be safer.
If we could force people to confess, we could get more criminals off the street.
If we controlled access to guns generally, fewer people would be hurt by guns.

We willingly trade Safety for more Freedom with the other enumerated rights, but the 2nd amendment?: remove all rationality.

“Just the Republican ones I suppose, masters.”

No, they are quite bi-partisan in their lobbying. That’s the dirty little secret of congress, there are numerous “gun-rights” supporters amongst the democrats. The NRA spent 20 million lobbying congress, the gun control people spent about 4 thousand. Add to that an election around the corner for many in congress and the firearms issue once more becomes an issue for the democrats from strong gun ownership states. Lots and lots of democrats, starting with Harry Reid, are big supporters of gun ownership and the NRA.

After his last campaign Reid may ease up a little on his support for the NRA as they backed Angle, the even more gun “friendly” candidate.

You don’t bag congressmen with guns, you bag them with tape recorders and movie cameras.

Maybe if the NRA actually defended “hunting rifles”, instead of semi-automatic pistols, military grade rifles, and armor piercing ammunition, they would have a more valid “argument”?

^ As defined by Dem Libs. Read the pending Rifle Ban, Read the last bill on Gun Shows. Both go far deeper than their description.

Angry white men – you are going the way of the dodo. Which is very appropriate.
The NRA is so embarrassing to the USA. A shame we must let them exist.
