You’re not being “oppressed” when another group gains rights that you’ve always had.

That would be Bill Millers’. Besides goat is not bad. It is the grease that they are cooked in that is the problem.

Sadly, we no longer have Freedom of Speech. It has been replaced with Mandatory Political Correctness and the Liberal Agenda.

Agreed, DrCanuck: Cathy can say and believe whatever idiotic thing he wants, including that he thinks businesses should run by “Biblical” principles, because “they work.” (That’s an assertion that can only be based on faith, because there aren’t any facts to back him.)
But when a corporation deliberately funds organizations which try to take away the right of marriage, I can express MY free speech by saying I object — something the conservatives seem to overlook — and use the free market by avoiding Chick-fil-A. That is part of what capitalism is all about!
They had ONE good day, but their respect in the market — once one of the best in America — has dropped like a rock. Expect more problems going forward. I loved their food, but I won’t be going there anymore.

I don’t see how this is a 1st Amendment issue. I haven’t heard anyone say he doesn’t have the right to say stupid things.

Ha, the chicken is full of hormones to increase its muscle mass. The chicken has been fed antibiotics adding to Salmonella resistance in the chicken factory, and in the wild because the antibiotic gets into the ground water. So, we are worried about gay rights? I could care less what the toxic-chick-filled-eh? guy thinks about gays. There are bigger issue, like Romney’s absent tax returns.

Ain’t it even a little “odd” that evangelicals demand “the right to free speech”, while DENYING people the right to live their lives as THEY choose?? I defend BOTH rights!

"Yes, we Chick-fil-A supporters exemplified freedom of speech as well as defended the rights of others to express their deeply held religious views without fear of retribution!

Congratulations on using your first amendment right to advocate someone forcing his beliefs on others. The use of your rights to defend the continued practice of denying other people their rights is a time honored “conservative” tradition.

if the US were a theocratic, bible-based nation, then homosexuality should be illegal…however, it is a SECULAR
nation, and true christians are neutral…have no business
    meddling in affairs of state
