    Good thing FDR wasn’t around in 1313!(at least thereisn’t a 13th month … but imagine Friday the 13th … in 1313!

    Not necessarily. He also built a plane for the Reno Air Races called the Pond Racer. The thing turned out to be the most dangerous race-plane since the Gee-Bee. Nothing Rutan did with it could stop the engines from constantly overheating. Eventually, it crashed, killing the pilot. ( By then Rutan had wisely walked away from the project. )

    The number “13” figures prominently in the formation of the USA from 13 colonies to 13 stars and 13 stripes on the flag. Look at the number of arrows etc in the Great Seal.
