Ripley's Believe It or Not has been presenting the incredible and the unusual in illustrated form since Robert Ripley's first "Champs and Chumps" comic published on Dec. 19, 1918. Currently, B.I.O.N. is illustrated by John Graziano, who has been working as an artist and illustrator since 1983, when he received a certificate in illustration from the Newark School of Fine and Industrial Arts. He has designed trading card sets and a portrait series based on the 1960s cult TV show "Dark Shadows." John has also created comic strips for "Scream Queens" magazine, designed t-shirts graphics and created storyboards and concept drawings for Hollywood films. Researcher Lucas Stram has worked since 2004 as the voice behind the cartoon, reviewing potential stories, filtering through the hundreds of weekly submissions and putting together the stories for John to bring to life. New submissions are always welcome. Just click here.

When more than two real candidates run, it happens.

That was Lincoln’s first term. No radio or TV back then … his popularity went up after he became better known.
MOST presidents only get between 45 and 55%, and I believe around 61% was the highest ever….
That one was called a landslide for Lyndon Johnson, but was widely taken at that time as more of a landslide against Barry Goldwater.
Third party candidates have usually been statistically insignificant.
Ralph Nader registered about half a percent of the total in 2008 and nobody else came close to that.
Ron Paul’s percentage was a flyspeck.

Most recently, H Ross Perot won 18.9% of the vote in 1992; before that, Teddy Roosevelt won 27% of the vote and actually came in second while running as a candidate of the Progressive (aka Bull Moose) Party.

1) Lincoln was not on the ballot in any southern state.
2) Texas is the only state that fought a war to GAIN slavery.

I remember we always have a Juneteenth celebration in my town every year, and one of the barbecues we go to has some of the best ribs. The woman who serves the food at the event is also pretty funny since she always gives you a generous amount of food, but goes ballistic if you try and serve yourself.

Only the saves in the CSA were freed, not the ones in the Union at that time.

Like in, I don’t know…CANADA? Actually I believe that in our last election, the conservatives (nowhere near as nuts as the Rethugs ) won with 20% because voter turnout was 50% and they had less than 40% support of those.
