    Some school districts go from printing to keyboarding. Others avoid the use of the computer and teach cursive ONLY, with no printing stage – much more sensible.

    My question is: If students don’t learn to write in cursive, how are they going to sign their names on legal documents?

    I always used to ‘letter’ in my field log books. Just standard SOP instead of cursive. Now, at 61 I can only print. I can still sign my signature, but if I have to sign my middle name instead of just the inital, I have to take my time. Doesn’t even look like the same sig….

    I asked my wife if she was taught any cursive when she was growing up…….and she replied….Yes, I F*$%@&*$G did……
