    It’s said that every art forger has one personal eccentricity that will reveal their canvases to be not the genuine article to a trained eye. I think I see Eightball’s.

    They do that because of ego. Someday, probably long after they are dead, they want it known that their forged painting(s) fooled experts for so long.

    Which will cause them to be famous.

    Perhaps famous enough for someone to try and make a forgery of THEIR painting(s).
