    Thanks for the info. I was born & raised in San Fransisco & went to school with kids of Maltese descent. The Maltese population resided in an area in the southeastern part of the city & their parish church was named St. Paul of the Shipwreck ( naturally ). My native city has changed so drastically over the years that I don’t recognise it anymore! I miss those days.

    Obit in San Francisco Chronicle, 20/10/14: Joseph Grech. Passed on 16/10/14. Born in Mosta, 1932. Parents Michael & Victoria (Gauci) Grech. Any relation??? If so, condolences.

    About a mile up the road from us they grow corn every year. I’ve always wondered if there was any temptation to reach over the fence, but for the now heavy traffic. But, really, it comes to mind that I have NEVER seen any ears of corn on those stalks, EVER. Maybe they just grow the stuff for fodder, since there ARE cows in the area ( &, at certain times of the year, you can smell them!!!!! )
