Only about 3 feet tall (tho ugly now), busted up, maybe trapped under a ladder, inhaling poisonous gas…butthe Jim-things laughter still threatens further horror. Nice job, Aaron.

Holly does have a kind of Mrs. Brisby look about her…

Staying with my theory that this is more than an insane raccoon-kin. The eyes are gone, but maybe not glowing. There seems to be no pain reaction to severed parts…or when whatever is in control turned Jim’ s head 180 degrees. And Jim seems to have “morphed” into something looking far uglier than a rabid raccoon.

Healing is not the same as regeneration. Will the wounds close and heal as stumps, or will the fingers come back? It looks to me like there is a “paw” remaining, extending from Jim’s cuff.

That’s the thing about trying to mess with someone’s emotional buttons…you don’t really know what to expect. If the Jim-thing expected Holly to fold at the mention of thebaby…boy was he/it wrong.

Don’t janitors belong in a drum?

I don’t think it’s Jim at all. It’s in Jim’s head…but it isn’t Jim. It’s moved in from somewhere else, and either pushed Jim aside or absorbed him. Those eyes are either glowing bright or blank white…but not working eyes. Whatever “it” is, it doesn’t need them, but sees in another way.

That’s what I thought might happen. I think Jim-thing is reading guilt and using it.

It is true that Wally didn’t pull the trigger, but in his mind he murdered her as much as the people who did. And that might be a clue to what Jim-thing “knows”. He might not know the past at all, but might be able to pick up on what’s in someone’s mind. And then use that guilt like a knife. Wally’s guilt for all the violence he’s been involved in is close to the surface. It’s at least as plausible as a talking glass of water.
