Holly looks hyperfocused, here, like she’s just doing whatever she can to get to the top with all of her strength. While I do think she’s trying to get Chic up there as well, I think by the time she’s at the top of the ladder she’s thinking nothing else then “Go! Go! Go!!” That’s probably all she can do, with Jim chewing on the back of her head. D: Good on Chic for lashing at Jim during the climb to keep him from doing more damage than he’s already done. Hopefully he won’t fall! I think he’ll be okay (for now)

Wow, Holly. Wow. Yeah I can’t see Jim coming out of this. And poor Chic looks terrified. At least he knows that, if anything, Holly would protect him. Also magnified I’m sure by Jim mentioning her first kidlet.

Welp – I stand corrected. You, lizard leader, are a terrible father. “Eerie…going through all this unpleasant business again” makes me wonder if he’s killed an offspring before, or someone else’s offspring? Just because though it’s probably been done for rebels and such, he’s had double meanings throughout most of these panels…

Actually…since Chic thinks his parents are trying to bump him off, I might be leaning back towards my first conclusion that his father /was/ in fact concerned over him rather than seeing this as an opportunity. It might be realizing his parents love him, rather than truly dislike/want him gone, that might convince him to go for his own sake and health.

At least Jim can’t possibly fit through that little hole – even if he may hurt himself trying.

Gosh that last panel is still chilling. I’m with Olonga – toss Sarah to the raccoon. I think Cheapskate is right – there’s not going to be a happy ending here – not for Jim anyway. I’m not so sure anyone there has the facilities to talk him down – if he even can be calmed by this point. The one who has the biggest sway over him is the one who betrayed him and who, I’ll bet, would be the last to try and do anything for him. Poor guy.

Oh man. Jim is terrifying. D: Ain’t no one’s caught the mouse that she doesn’t want catching yet, but can a baby chick outrun a rabid raccoon?

AHH!! Oh man! I was half asleep when I pulled today’s strip up, getting ready for school. I’m awake now. o.O I hope Holly or someone can get through to him, but he never got that close to her or Wally, and I doubt Sarah will put forth much if any effort to save him. This isn’t looking good! Poor Jim!

Jim’s face – LOL. But I feel bad for him. This is why we don’t sacrifice ourselves for the one we love, because should the relationship not work out then we lose everything.
